At Olive + Oak, our mission is to redefine what a career behind the chair can look like.
Rooted in faith, we believe hairstylists can build thriving, profitable careers without sacrificing the life they were created to live. Through education, coaching, accountability, and intentional growth, we develop highly skilled artists who understand both their craft and the business behind it.
We are committed to creating a culture where stylists are supported, challenged, and equipped to work smarter, grow with purpose, serve people well, and build careers that provide both freedom and fulfillment.
Our goal is for every team member to love their craft, love their career, and still have room to love their life.
Our Mission
Our vision is to modernize the commission salon and change the statistics of the beauty industry by proving that hairstylists can build successful, sustainable careers without burnout.
We envision Olive + Oak as a place where faith, excellence, community, and opportunity come together—where talented artists become confident, business-savvy professionals who continually raise their own standard of success.
We want to help stylists dream bigger for their careers and their lives, equipping them to reach goals they once thought were out of reach while creating the freedom to be present for the people and things that matter most.
As Olive + Oak grows, we want to be known not only for exceptional hair, but for the way we develop people, serve our community, and lead our industry differently.
Our Vision
We choose the name for our salon because we are all Christian woman seeking to glorify God in the work that we do.
An olive branch symbolizes the hope Noah felt after the great flood and the Olive branch also symbolizes Gods relationship with his people and that he keeps His promises.
In the Bible, the oak tree symbolizes strength, endurance, and righteousness in reference to God’s relationship with his people.
Isiah 61:1-3
Our hope is that the name Olive and Oak will be a great foundation as a household name in Sumner County. We wanted to cultivate a place of peace and righteousness. Where our guests as well as our stylists will be able to share the good news of Christ.

Our Story
Olive + Oak Hair Studio is co-owned by longtime friends Heather Hille and Victoria Anderson, whose story began long before the salon doors ever opened.
Heather and Victoria met in cosmetology school in 2010 and quickly became close friends. Even then, they dreamed about what it would be like to one day open a salon together. Life ultimately took their careers in different directions, and for the next ten years, they each grew as stylists, built their own clientele, and gained experience within the beauty industry.
In 2020, their careers unexpectedly brought them back together when they began working at the same salon in the Gallatin area. As they worked alongside one another again, the dream they had talked about years earlier began to resurface.
They saw an opportunity to create something different—a salon that prioritized continued education, professionalism, an exceptional guest experience, and a culture where stylists could build successful careers while still having a life they loved outside of the salon.
After much prayer, Heather and Victoria took a leap of faith and opened Olive + Oak Hair Studio in 2022.
What began as a dream between two friends quickly grew into something much bigger. As the team and community continued to grow, Olive + Oak outgrew its first home, and in 2025 moved into a larger salon designed to make room for the next chapter.
Today, Olive + Oak is more than a place to get your hair done. It is a faith-rooted salon built around developing people, serving others well, and redefining what a career behind the chair can look like.
What started as a dream between two friends has become a place where stylists can grow in their craft, their careers, and their purpose—and we believe we're only getting started.
